Research Highlight
Dr. Erin Brennand continues to lead the HUPPS (Hysterectomy vs Uterine Preservation Prospective Study) with clinical follow-up completion in February 2024 and submission for publication to follow in Spring 2024. Several spin-off studies have already been published and the research team has recently been awarded another CIHR grant for continued research about long term impacts of uterine preserving vs hysterectomy-based POP research. These projects have created new collaborations and opportunities for trainees within the University of Calgary Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as graduate students from other departments. The team has many more ideas related to medical education and knowledge translation and looks forward to working with CSPM members and other Urogynaecology programs to implement them on a national level.
