Be Part of a CSPM Committee!
Enhance your CSPM experience and help bring recognition to urogynecology across Canada! Volunteer now to serve on a CSPM Committee. You’ll share your experience and expertise, but also gain knowledge and enlarge your networking circle as we fulfill our mission to promote excellence in care, education, and research and create a collaborative multidisciplinary group that advocates for better health for those affected by pelvic floor disorders.
We are accepting applications for openings on the following committees:
- Research & Development Committee
- Scientific Committee
- NEW! Social Media Committee
- Standardization Committee
Eligibility
Current CSPM members are eligible to serve on a committee. The intent is for committee membership to mirror the geographic and practice diversity of the CSPM membership.
Term
Committee terms are typically 3 years. Some members may be asked to serve a 2-year term as we continue to establish staggered terms on all CSPM committees. Members added to CSPM committees as a result of this Call for Committee Volunteers will begin their term on January 1, 2023.

Complete the Committee Application Form by November 13, 2022.
Application Deadline
A complete Committee Application Form must be submitted by Sunday, November 13, 2022, for your application to be considered complete. Only complete applications will be considered.
Committee Descriptions
Research & Development Committee
The Research & Development Committee highlights and promotes research, including multi-centre research, across Canada. The committee will also focus on expanding knowledge transfer and developing research content/curricula.
Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee organizes the scientific program for CSPM’s Annual Meeting, including carrying out the abstract review/acceptance process and identifying invited speakers.
Social Media & Communication Committee
This new committee is all about fostering communication and connection! It will focus on building CSPM’s presence on social media and developing content for social media posts. This committee will also have responsibility for website maintenance/improvements and the CSPM E-Discussion Forum.
Standardization Committee
The Standardization Committee focuses on identifying and addressing gaps in the information available to practitioners, patients, and the general public. The committee also develops documents related to terminology and standardization in the field with an aim of standardizing information and practice across Canada.
