Advocacy Initiatives

CSPM Advocacy Initiatives are member-driven efforts to identify barriers, develop shared resources, and advocate for equitable access to pelvic health care across Canada.

Billing Codes Advocacy Task Force

The Billing Code Advocacy Task Force is a collaborative, member-driven initiative launched to examine how pelvic health services are billed across Canadian provinces and territories.

The Task Force is mapping current billing codes and practices, identifying gaps and inconsistencies that affect patient access and provider sustainability, and developing advocacy briefs, talking points, and model language to support fair, consistent coverage. All resources are maintained in a shared library accessible to members.

CSPM members are invited to contribute their provincial expertise and billing references to this ongoing effort. If you would like to get involved, please email us at: info@canadiansocietyforpelvicmedicine.org

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Advocacy Task Force

The Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Advocacy Task Force is focused on reducing barriers and improving access to publicly funded conservative pelvic health physiotherapy services across Canada. The Task Force has published Landscape of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy in Canada in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada, and work is ongoing to support training and access initiatives at both regional and pan-Canadian levels.

CSPM is actively building collaborations with allied organizations to combine efforts and advance equitable pelvic health care from coast to coast. If you are interested in contributing or exploring collaboration opportunities, we would welcome the conversation. Please email us at: info@canadiansocietyforpelvicmedicine.org
