Standardize suture placement techniques to improve surgical outcomes 4. Understand anatomical landmarks and their relationship based on histological and radiological reconstructions of pelvic organs 5. Gain hands-on experience in uterosacral hysteropexy and vaginal vault suturing techniques
Why Attend?
- This workshop offers participants an in-depth exploration of vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) and its applications in urogynecological procedures - Attendees will compare vNOTES with traditional vaginal approaches for uterosacral suspension, with a focus on optimizing technique and outcomes - The session will emphasize standardized suture placement methods and a detailed understanding of pelvic anatomical landmarks, supported by histological and radiological reconstructions - Participants will also gain valuable hands-on experience in procedures such as uterosacral hysteropexy and vaginal vault suturing, enhancing both their surgical precision and clinical confidence

Sexual Function/Sexual Pain
Surgical topics
Target Audience:
- Physicians and surgeons - Allied Healthcare practitioners
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand why the clitoris has historically been omitted from medical education 2. Build an anatomically correct model of the clitoral complex, including the nervous and vascular systems 3. Offer physiotherapy scar mobilization and/or 'clitoral lysis of adhesions' procedures in their clinical practice 4. Feel empowered to create change to their home institution's anatomy curriculum with novel curricular content garnered from this workshop
Why Attend?
- This hands-on workshop will help participants build confidence in understanding both superficial and deep pelvic anatomy and its connection to common urogynecology procedures - Attendees will learn how to assess, diagnose, and treat clitoral pathologies such as clitoral phimosis, using physiotherapy, in-office, or surgical approaches - The session includes instructional videos and practice on pelvic models, allowing participants to gain practical skills in techniques like lysis of adhesions, scar mobilization, and dorsal clitoral nerve blocks - Upon completion, attendees will be equipped to apply these techniques in clinical practice and teach the anatomy and techniques at their home institutions
