Workshop Proposal Submission

CSPM Call for Workshop Proposals
Submission Deadline: Sunday, October 1, 2023 Wednesday, November 1, 2023

The Canadian Society for Pelvic Medicine (CSPM) is now accepting submissions for half-day workshops to be offered at the 5th Annual Meeting in Montreal, QC, on April 13-14, 2024. Any topic that is relevant to the CSPM audience will be considered. We strongly encourage highly interactive and collaborative workshops with multidisciplinary providers. All speakers must be members of CSPM and be confirmed to present prior to inclusion into workshop proposal.

Workshop proposals must be submitted using the CSPM Workshop Proposal Submission Form and must include the following:

1. Title
2. Keywords
3. Workshop category
4. Speakers and affiliations
5. Workshop duration (3 hours with 30 minutes prior to workshop for setup and 30 minutes after the workshop for teardown)
6. Workshop type (hands-on or interactive seminar)
7. Target audience
8. Background on the topic with references
9. Description of the workshop, connection between the topic and speakers’ experience, and its relevance for CSPM audience
10. Detailed outline of the workshop (including titles of presentations, speakers, timing, and breaks)
11. Learning objectives (3-4) with applicable CanMEDS roles
12. Expected number of attendees
13. Requests for equipment and supplies
14. Budget and workshop sponsor(s) (if applicable)
15. Any special requirements (ex. Additional time for setup and teardown, room setup)
16. If the workshop has been presented previously (location, date, number of attendees, copy of participants’ feedback)

Upon submission, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your proposal. All submissions will be reviewed and graded by CSPM’s Scientific Committee. Hands-on and multidisciplinary workshops will be scored higher. Workshop proposals must be unbiased and not promote a single product. The CSPM Scientific Committee has the right to suggest changes to workshop proposals, merge similar proposals, and alter speakers to create a diverse program that is most applicable to CSPM’s audience. The CSPM Scientific Committee may also propose topics for workshop proposals and speakers to align with the interests of CSPM’s audience.

Deadline for Speakers to Confirm Acceptance: November 15, 2023  December 15, 2023
